About Spring Shabu-Shabu

Stylish Japanese outfit preparing meats, seafood, noodles, and veggies in tableside hot pots.

Spring Shabu-Shabu is a hot pot in Westbury, New York. It is listed at 1195 Corporate Dr, Westbury, NY 11590, which places it among the local businesses of Westbury that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as buffet restaurant, japanese restaurant, shabu-shabu restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Westbury; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 5:30–9:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (516) 385-5565. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, springshabu.com.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 330 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded hot pot in Westbury.

Westbury is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Westbury is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I am a long time customer, have come here 8 nights in a row at one point, I love most of the staff theyre usually so sweet and helpful. I am honestly so disappointed in today’s service though. I came at about 8:50, a party of three, was seated in the section all the way at the left of the restaurant. The entire time our server didn’t check on us even once. Towards the end of our meal I had to wave him down for a broth refill and it took forever to get his attention- the pot was starting to burn at the bottom. We were sitting there with our drinks finished and was not checked on or asked about it. He brought the check and I had to ask myself for a refill (i had been sitting with an empty drink for about 20 minutes). I must admit, typically the service is phenemonal. Usually we are asked multiple times about refills and napkins and whatever else we may need. I really love coming here. But the service today made the meal less than enjoyable. I feel bad but I couldn’t justify a great tip either. I love this place and have recommended it to many friends, but this review was necessary so that management is aware.

I recently came to this hot pot restaurant with my husband, and we had such a great experience from beginning to end. As soon as we walked in, we felt very welcomed. The staff greeted us kindly and helped us get seated right away. The environment felt comfortable, clean, and relaxed, which made us feel at ease. The service was really good. The staff were patient and took the time to explain how everything works, especially if it is your first time having hot pot. They checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed, but they were not overwhelming. It felt like they truly cared about giving us a good experience. The food was amazing. Everything tasted very fresh, from the vegetables to the meats and seafood. You can really tell the quality is good. There were many options to choose from, so it was easy to find things we both liked. The broth was very flavorful and made everything taste even better. Cooking the food at the table made the whole experience more fun and interactive for us. One thing I really appreciated was how clean everything was. The table, utensils, and cooking area were all well maintained. That made me feel more comfortable while eating. The restau

Modern and fresh hot pot (shabu shabu) buffet. The basic price covers the broth, the vegetables, eggs, fish balls, tofu, and noodles, etc. Proteins like beef, lamb and seafood are additional. Plenty of vegetables and tofu ingredients. Nice selection of broths. The sauce bar has almost all of the sauces.

Clean and spacious. Plenty of veggies, fish cakes, and/or noodles to put in your Shabu shabu. Very unique types of noodles (ie: ube, taro, matcha) and fish cakes (with jalapeΓ±os). Drinks are Γ  la carte as well as any meat. But one portion of one meat order is enough for 2 people. Kids under 10 pay a reduced fee per years of their age.

I ate here recently with my wife and son and the place was packed. Not I know why, because of the huge selection of food. Lots and lots of fresh vegetables, so many types of mushrooms, seaweeds, and too many frozen fish balls to choose from. Lots of meats or seafood can be added for a charge, as well. This all you can eat restaurant caters to all tastes. I like my broth spicy, while my wife doesn’t. I’ll definitely eat here again!!
